President: the budget receipts of Belarus are even higher than we expected

Protection of the financial market: taxes, budget revenues and, as a consequence, replenishment of the social security fund. These are our pensions, payments to disabled people and mothers of many children. The heads of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties and the State Control Committee told the President how they put a barrier to those who are trying to violate the law, and about the next steps to improve it. The President's demand: the tax system should be very simple and understandable for taxpayers, it should save their time and nerves. Those who work honestly and openly should not get nervous unnecessarily. Today, the head of state addressed these very businessmen and entrepreneurs - there will definitely be no claims to them.

In the first half of the year, the tax service even exceeded the plan. Revenues to the budget amounted to more than 15 billion rubles, as compared to 2020 - an additional half a billion. At the same time, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties has reduced the number of inspections and continues to go online.

In June, criminal liability for paying salaries in envelopes, unpaid taxes and evasion of insurance premiums was introduced in Belarus. The maximum penalty is up to 12 years in jail.

There is a recent example. Managers of a printing company paid wages in envelopes to their employees. Since 2015, their earnings amounted to almost 10 million rubles. But for the budget it meant minus 2.5 million. According to the documents, they transferred the marketing department to the status of individual entrepreneurs. The work remained the same, the official salary dropped many times, but there was a generous remuneration - in envelopes.

A criminal case was started against the founder and director of the company, as well as against the officers of the company.

Three people were accused, their property, i.e. luxury cars and mansions in the outskirts of the capital, valued at over 4 million rubles were seized. The tax authorities have started monitoring such companies - there is a possibility that not all the money goes through the cash register.

It is now possible to report about the envelope wages through the telegram channel of the State Control Committee. As they say, everything is anonymous and without registration. The same form is available on the website of the agency. The information will be analyzed and used during inspections.

After last year's events, we learned our lessons. By participating in protests and unlawful mass events, some of the individuals involved managed to avoid taxes in the country they were protesting against. As a result, they not only harmed the state, but also their own employees. They stole from pensioners, the disabled and families with many children. Those, who made a mess of business, took refuge in politics.

Any inspections, especially by tax officers or the KGB, are understandably stressful for the entrepreneur. But those, who work honestly and openly, do not need to tremble for their own business. The President guarantees: there will be no claims without a reason, on the contrary, the green light and support.
