Belarus and Russia should jointly enter markets of far arc, said Lukashenko
Russian regions could jointly with Belarus enter the markets of the countries of the far arc. A statement to this effect was made by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at his meeting with Governor of Russia's Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov, BelTA informs.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is now very actively developing relations with the countries of the far arc, including the African continent. In this regard, he suggested the head of the Russian region to enter the markets of these countries together.
"The demand for us there is very high. At the last meeting with the President of Russia, we discussed this issue in detail. The Soviet Union, as our experts say, let's say, , once made a huge contribution to Africa, created a huge foundation and base for the current cooperation of the post-Soviet republics - and first of all Belarus and Russia - on that continent. They trust us more than anyone else. We should take advantage of this. Promoting our interests, we should support the development of African and Asian countries that have been waiting for us there for a long time. We need to work together here," the President emphasized.
At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that Russia in general works well in these countries, but as for its regions, Belarus could create joint products with them and supply them to the countries of the far arc or help Russian regions in supplies. "These markets are certainly promising."
