Power startup of BelNPP's second power unit scheduled for first quarter of 2023

The power start-up of the second power unit of BelNPP is planned in the first quarter of next year. This was stated by Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich.

"The most important project for the industry is the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The second unit is 97% ready. The scheduled technological commissioning of the unit is ongoing as part of the phased programs. The power start-up of the second unit and connection to the grid is planned for the first quarter of 2023," BelTA quoted Karankevich.

By the way, the first unit of BelNPP is currently operating at nominal capacity. It has generated 10.4 billion kWh of electricity since it was included in the grid (November 3, 2020).
