Lukashenko not satisfied with submitted bill on entrepreneurship

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent back a draft law on the development of entrepreneurship for revision after a meeting with the leadership of the Council of Ministers, BelTA informs, citing Economy Minister Alexander Chervyakov.

The bill, submitted by the Minister, reflected a new structure of small business. However, the President eventually sent the document for revision, pointing out to the excessive "complexity" of the proposed system.

"It was to the complexity of the system that the head of state drew attention. He stressed that the system is quite cumbersome, multi-valued and it is really difficult for a person who would like to understand where to start. So, he gave an instruction to simplify the system so that it would be sufficiently clear, transparent and fair," said Alexander Chervyakov. - The task is to simplify the system, on the one hand. On the other hand, to make it transparent in terms of payments, payment of taxes, to make it fair in terms of participation of each business entity in the budget refill.

The President demanded to more clearly define the types of activities for artisans, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities in the draft law. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that there are no plans to abandon individual entrepreneurship. We just need to clearly define the specific types of activities for all forms of small businesses.

He instructed to finalize the document as soon as possible. After all, changes will come into force in 2023, which means that people should already understand how they will work next year, said Alexander Lukashenko.
