Only hard work can reverse the negative trends in the work of Gomel region! The head of state made the statement at a meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region.
The President arrived in Gomel to discuss the problems and find solutions. The Gomel Region Executive Committee has brought together all those on whose managerial decisions the development of the agro-industrial complex depends.
Alexander Lukashenko warned at once that the conversation would be serious. Each of the participants of the meeting should return to a district or farm to work hard with full dedication and demand the same from the subordinates.
Minsk Region has harvested over two million tons of grain, Grodno and Brest regions - a million and a half each. Vitebsk and Mogilev crossed a million. And Gomel Region contribution to the harvest is not that noticeable, stated the head of the state. Meanwhile, a common harvest is the foundation of food security.
"We are constantly talking about the importance of food security and the agricultural sector. Maybe, it has already become an annoyance to some people. But the fact that we were right to focus on food production is confirmed both in Belarus and abroad," said Alexander Lukashenko.

And it is going to grow. You do not need to explain who benefits from it, you understand it very well," said the Belarusian leader.
Over the last five years, agricultural production in the region has fallen by more than 13% at a time when the entire country is growing by 4%. Virtually all the inspected farms showed violations in livestock breeding. One in four of the facts of submission of false information about mortality.
