Belarus plans to increase goat milk production

The goat milk production will be increased in Belarus. The first state-owned breeding farm will soon open in Mogilev district. The construction of the complex is under way. It is designed for half a thousand heads. The animal, according to experts, is unpretentious. The ration includes mixed fodder, water and hay.

Sergei Skyruk, deputy director general of Mogilev State Cattle Breeding Enterprise:

“The industry is rather promising, because not many people in our country are engaged in goat breeding and goat milk is very valuable. And in the future we plan to sell the animals both within Belarus and abroad. The milking equipment has already been installed. Next year we plan to start milk production.”
