Second power unit of BelNPP produces first kilowatt-hours for Belarusian power system

Within the framework of the stage program of the power start-up of May 13 at 13:24, the first power connection of the second unit of BelNPP was held. The unit produced the first kilowatt-hours of electricity to the integrated power system of the country, Sputnik informs.

Synchronization of the turbine generator of the second unit of the nuclear power plant with the power system was preceded by a large amount of work, including the removal of the reactor unit in a critical state, then to the minimum controlled level of power with its further increase up to 40%.

All technological operations were performed in accordance with the regulations and in compliance with the necessary safety requirements.
