Alexander Lukashenko: Brotherhood and invincibility of Soviet people are not history

Today is a holiday of courage and patriotism of every person who is ready to defend the sovereignty of the country, a holiday of the professional military and all those who understand the value of peace. These are the words our President addressed to the participants of the ceremonial meeting. Alexander Lukashenko thanked the veterans of the Great Patriotic War who fought in Afghanistan and the officers in active service. He noted that the world we protect today is based on the historical experience and memory. However, though living under a cloudless sky, the Belarusians, unfortunately, can't feel completely safe.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
The main thing for the revanchists in the West to remember is that the brotherhood and invincibility of the Soviet people did not go down in history with the collapse of the great country. Any attempts to intimidate and impose someone else's will on us are doomed.
