Alexander Lukashenko begins series of trips to health facilities

Belarusian doctors continue to selflessly fight the COVID epidemic. Many hospitals and their wards have become places where lives are saved. One of them was visited today by the President. Until the last moment the route of the head of state was unknown. And in the morning the 6th clinic of Minsk became the pilot site from which Alexander Lukashenko begins a series of trips to health facilities involved in the fight against infection. This hospital was one of the first to receive patients with coronavirus. Today, there are several buildings for the COVID-patients. They also receive patients in need of intensive care and resuscitation.

Support of health care and additional payments to doctors will be preserved.

Belarus has already spent almost a billion dollars on treatment. And it is worth reminding, medicine is an expensive pleasure for the budget. The President drew attention to the measures of state support of the health care system: purchase of equipment, equipment of modern workplaces for doctors with all necessary instruments. The system of financing will be preserved as well as additional payments for work with COVID infection.

The President is also convinced that it is important for Belarus to produce coronavirus vaccine on its own. The Russian leadership has already offered Belarus a vaccine to organize its production in the country. Russian business also wanted to take part in financing it. The new line is expected to appear on the site of Belmedpreparaty, the national pharmaceutical giant.
