More than 362 thousand foreigners visit Belarus without visa

Whatever fears our neighbors may have about Belarus, the people of Lithuania, Poland, as well as Latvian passport holders increasingly come for their holidays to our country. Some spend a full vacation in our country, while others opt for a family weekend getaway. More than 360 thousand foreigners have visited Belarus for the period of visa-free entry.

Belarus is attractive for foreigners. More than 234 thousand Lithuanian citizens, 208 thousand Latvian passport holders and a little over 19 thousand Poles have visited our country for the period of visa-free regime.

Denis Glebko, official representative of Polotsk border guard unit:

“More than 123 citizens of Lithuania, as well as citizens and non-citizens of the Latvian Republic, passed through the Polotsk border detachment's area at three checkpoints - "Grigorovshchina", "Urbany", "Vidzy". The border guards always give a hospitable welcome to visitors to our country including those travelling on a visa-free basis. We are always ready to speed up the crossing capacity, additional jobs are created for this purpose.”

The number of cars with Latvian and Lithuanian license plates increases noticeably on weekends. Thanks to the visa-free regime, foreign guests don't have to plan their trip for a long time. That is why there are so many people who want to spend a weekend tour in Belarus.
