Belarus introduces temporary ban on export of certain types of industrial goods
The Council of Ministers of Belarus introduced a temporary ban on exports of certain industrial products. This is provided by the decree № 192 of the Council of Ministers of 21 March 2023, which has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA informs.
The ban affects gypsum, anhydrite, dental and other filling materials, cements, reconstructing bone, disinfectants, paints and varnishes based on synthetic polymers, molding pastes, diagnostic or laboratory reagents on the substrate, filter cells (including membranes for hemodialysis) for medical industry, glass ampoules, glassware for laboratory, hygiene or pharmaceutical purposes. The regulation also covers compressed or liquefied gas tanks, various boilers, engines, pumps, industrial or laboratory furnaces, and ovens. Refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges, dishwashers, machines, vacuum cleaners, electric shavers, hair clippers, telephone sets, microphones are also listed. It also applies to devices for lifting, moving, loading or unloading (e.g. elevators, escalators, conveyors), bulldozers, tractors, machinery for various purposes, weaving, lathes and other machines, railway locomotives, cars, motorcycles, trailers and other items.
The ban does not apply to goods with a certificate confirming the Belarusian or Russian origin, with the certificate of own production or certificate of examination of conformity of industrial products with the requirements for the purposes of its classification as manufactured in Belarus, issued by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ban also does not apply to goods with an extract from the Eurasian register and a number of other cases specified in the document.
The resolution came into force on March 23 and is valid for six months.
