Alexei Talay’s charitable foundation collects Soviet coins to be melted into triangular frontline letter
The Alexei Talay’s charitable foundation has organized a collection of Soviet coins. The money will be melted into a memorial sign: a triangular frontline letter. The monument will be set up in Brest on the Day of the city's liberation - July 28. There are special fund-raising centers in several cities across the country. First and foremost, the action is aimed at young patriots. Many families have the coins out of circulation, so every child can donate them for a good cause. By the way, a similar memorial was opened in Minsk last year on the Day of Independence - then they managed to collect more than 130 thousand coins.
"All these coins were melted on June 22, some of them were included in the alloying of the memorial sign in Minsk, some coins are kept in ingots, they are kept in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War and in the Museum of the Brest Fortress. They are waiting to get into the remaining memorial signs".
The campaign "Children of Belarus to the Winds and Future Generations" will last till mid June. You can also support it with active currency. The next stage of the action is installation of the memorial sign in 2025 in Moscow for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
