Czech Republic extends visa ban for citizens of Belarus and Russia
On March 22, an amendment to the government decree was approved in the Czech Republic. According to the amendment, the ban on issuing visas to citizens of Belarus and Russia was extended. This is reported by BELTA, citing the publication Ceske Noviny.
The ban will be valid until the end of March 2024. Humanitarian cases will constitute an exception. It is noted that applications for permission to stay in the Czech Republic, submitted by Russians or Belarusians to the embassies, are considered inadmissible under the current legislation. In addition, the ban is extended to Russians and Belarusians holding the passports of other countries. A similar ban for citizens of Russia and Belarus was introduced in 2022.
