Day of Belarusian Written Language in Kopyl starts with Festival of Books and Press

At this moment, Kopyl is setting up book counters right on the central streets. The Book and Press Festival is traditionally the first event on the billboard of the Days of Belarusian Written Language. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants and guests. The writers who will come to the 28th festival capital today will play football with local students in the afternoon. Later, at the creative evening, everyone will be gathered by the master of the police detective, the Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Writers Nikolai Cherginets.

The Literature Festival began unofficially on September 3. Writers and journalists from 15 countries of the world gathered at a round table in Minsk. Seven dozen experts discussed the burning problems in the Common Humanitarian Space in an online format.

The official opening of the Day of Belarusian Written Language will take place on Sunday. The names of the winners of the National Literary Prize will be announced, and for the first time a historical reconstruction of the Lavsky Battle will be carried out. And in the evening, Belarusian pop performers will remember soundtracks for film adaptations and theatrical performances to the accompaniment of the Presidential Orchestra.
