Dmitry Kulikov: Inhumanity is the essence of modern Western power

Why don't those Europeans who are so committed to democratic values condemn Poland for fencing off refugees with iron wires, gassing them and attacking them with water cannons? Why don't they scream about violation of freedom of speech, when Poles don't allow journalists to cross the border? It’s because if they did, they would have to admit that today they themselves are the main violators of all the principles of democracy and humanism. That is the opinion of a Russian political scientist, publicist, TV and radio presenter Dmitry Kulikov, who shared this opinion with TV channel Belarus 1.

Dmitry Kulikov, Russian political scientist, publicist, TV and radio presenter:
If something like this was done by Belarus, and by Russia, then it would be a violation of freedom of speech, depriving citizens of the opportunity to express their opinions, and in general as always "bloody regime". This is the standard of their own government. If someone remembers how Europe was talking about rescuing poor refugees, letting everyone go, God forbid anyone should think of showing in their report what Merkel said then and what she's saying now. It would be unpleasant. No one will see this contrast, except for Belarus and Russia, because we are showing both. Do you think that in the West they show the reception center, the way the refugees are fed, the baths, no, of course not. This is the essence of modern management and the essence of modern Western authorities. So if they have to be inhumane, they will be inhumane and this will be justified by a higher necessity. Let's see how they will work with such methods in a developing and worsening crisis. That's where it will be very difficult for them, it remains to be seen.
