Gomel to turn 879

Gomel is getting ready for its birthday. This Saturday, one of the largest cities of Belarus will celebrate its 879th birthday. What's remarkable is that this year the regional center and the capital will celebrate the city's birthday simultaneously. The city will host a grape festival and a rich program for the guests. Gomel will turn into a huge festive site for the whole day.

Gomel's embankment is the pearl of the city over the Sozh. After a large-scale reconstruction it has been transformed beyond recognition. It will become one of the main holiday venues this Saturday.

The best performers of Gomel, soloists of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic Society and of course the invited guests, the honored artiste of Belarus Irina Dorofeyeva, the honored artiste Alena Lanskaya, the Song and Dance Company"Mama Nastu" from Minsk and many other famous singers will perform.
