State Border Committee of Belarus: NATO mission at our borders can be used to unleash conflict

On October 14, the head of the State Border Committee of Belarus commented on Ukraine's proposal to station monitoring missions from NATO countries on its border with Belarus. According to Anatoly Lappo, all this once again creates additional tension. The presence of the armed representatives of Western countries on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border can be used for various provocations and even unleashing a conflict.

There are two questions here: who will it be and for what purpose? It will be the soldiers of NATO countries and mercenaries. With what purpose will they come here? There is only one purpose. This military contingent, disguised as peacekeepers, will approach the border, set up a chain of subversive reconnaissance group there to act against us in the future.

The Belarusian President also spoke about provocations on the border with Ukraine. The Ukrainian military is actively using watercrafts and other equipment without any identifying marks. They conduct optical, electronic and radio reconnaissance of the Belarusian territory. Our border guards, in turn, are promptly monitoring the changes in the situation and are ready to take all necessary response measures.
