China regards Belarus as its reliable ally

Belarus and China have become reliable partners and comrades-in-arms in protecting the diversity of development over the years of diplomatic relations. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyun has underscored the importance of it in his speech at today's round table on the theme "The Unique Way of Success for Everyone: China's Global Civilization Initiative.

China and Belarus are reliable companions in protecting the diversity of development, promoting exchange and cooperation between different countries. In his speeches at various events and in his Address to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stresses the need to protect the historical memory, expresses the opinion that national cultures and traditions cannot be fitted to a single standard, the world is beautiful in its diversity. This position is very much in line with the Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping and has the same goal.

The diplomat noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 31 years ago, no matter how dramatically the international situation has changed, China and Belarus have always maintained friendly ties.

Xie Xiaoyun praised the importance of Alexander Lukashenko's state visit to Beijing and the adoption of the Joint Statement on further development of all-weather and all-round strategic partnership between the two countries in the new era. The Ambassador stressed that China is ready to stand firmly on the side of progress together with the international community, including Belarus, make joint efforts to implement the Global Civilization Initiative and promote common values.
