Lukashenko signs order to encourage gifted young people
On April 13, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed an order to encourage gifted young people, according to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
More than Br1.5 million will be allocated from the reserve fund of the head of state to the President's special fund for social support of gifted youth. The funds will be allocated to encourage pupils and students, their teachers, as well as to provide material support to intellectual and creative associations of students.
In addition, the decree approves the decision of the Fund Council to award 152 scholarships of the President of Belarus to students and cadets of higher education institutions for outstanding achievements in education, research and creative activities.
The order is aimed at revealing and supporting the most motivated and gifted students, creating favorable conditions for the further development of their abilities and successful studies.
