Lukashenko: Nuclear weapons in Belarus are a weapon of deterrence and defense

Non-strategic nuclear weapons in Belarus are weapons of deterrence and defense. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the solemn meeting on the occasion of Victory Day, BelTA informs.

The President noted that there is a lot of talk about nuclear weapons today. Some people are starting to guess whether Lukashenko will or won't use these nuclear weapons.

"Look, it's a weapon of deterrence, it's a weapon of defense. Nobody will go on the offensive with these weapons. Draw a conclusion from here," said the head of state.
