Ministry of Economy tells what affects real wage and what to expect by the end of the year

Minister of Economy Alexander Chervyakov told reporters what affects the real wages and what to expect at the end of the year.

"The task, which we have set ourselves, is to reach the level of real wages of 100% by the end of the year. We see how to do this. There are two factors influencing this. This is an increase in production and linking wages to labor productivity, as well as reducing inflation. The President held a meeting with the economic bloc of the government and set the corresponding tasks. And we see that inflation has begun to decline in annual terms," said Alexander Chervyakov.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Directive №10 "On the inadmissibility of price increases" as a result of the meeting on the price situation in the country. The document was adopted in order to immediately and firmly respond to the prevailing situation in the consumer market. The government has recently approved a new system of price regulation for goods of the entire consumer basket, both for domestic and imported goods.
