Belarus Ministry of Defense reports attempted attack on a group of soldiers with an explosive device

In the evening of May 11, the driver of a heavy vehicle attempted to attack a group of soldiers participating in the strengthening of the state border with an explosive device made of pyrotechnic materials on the section of the M5 highway. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

After the attack the driver tried to escape. Soldiers blocked the car, detained the 51-year-old driver and handed him over to law enforcement officials. None of the military were injured. Signs of extremism are seen in the actions of the driver.
