Defense Ministry of Belarus comments on situation on border and makes important statements

Near the western borders of Belarus there is a systemic activity of NATO forces, the alliance is implementing plans to further increase its military presence in the territory of neighboring countries. The situation on the Belarusian borders and national security was discussed at a briefing at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Vladimir Kuprianyuk, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus:

"The presence of special purpose units in close proximity to our border is nothing but one of the stages of advance preparation for the possible launch of sabotage groups to our territory. And we consider the presence of artillery and armored vehicles as a possible component of combat support for their actions, - emphasized the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate. - In general, under the conditions of increasing presence of special purpose units, mercenaries and various volunteer formations in the border areas, there is a high probability of preparing and carrying out armed provocations and high-profile actions on our territory".

Vladimir Kuprianyuk emphasized that at the same time the intensity of provocative and demonstrative actions by Ukrainian formations, including the use of unmanned aircraft, which repeatedly violated our airspace, does not decrease.
