City Day starts with laying flowers at stele "Minsk - Hero-City"

The megapolis in the heart of Belarus is celebrating the City Day today. Minsk is 956 years old!

Traditionally, the events started at the stele "Minsk - Hero-City" with the laying of flowers at the foot of the obelisk. The ceremony was attended by numerous delegations from enterprises and organizations of the capital, as well as the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov, Mayor of Minsk Vladimir Kukharev, foreign guests and young people. The stories of the heroic battles of the Great Patriotic War came to life in a theatrical performance, and young Minskers released white doves into the peaceful sky with gratitude of their descendants for the Great Victory.
