Russian political scientist: We are witnessing the end of the American economic system
Because of the imposition of U.S. sanctions against Russia, the global financial system is in a rather unstable state. This opinion was shared by Russian political scientist Vladimir Shapovalov. According to him, this policy of Washington strengthens the trend of dedollarization of many countries in the world and will lead to the collapse of the American economic system.
Vladimir Shapovalov, deputy director of the Institute of History and Politics at Moscow State University (Russia):
The Americans have actually destroyed the world economy with their own actions. The unrestrained attempt to impose an unprecedented number of sanctions against Russia has brought the world economy into a state of imbalance. The sanctions drove an aspen stake into the dollar economy of the world.
Vladimir Shapovalov stressed that for quite a long time many countries actively declared the dedollarization of the economy, but in practice the dedollarization was carried out at a fairly limited pace. And the current sanctions war has led to the fact that the Americans have actually forced other countries to leave, to flee from the dollar - this is an important point. "That is, the Americans have made a suicide shot to their economy, which will affect not only within the framework of this crisis, but will be the beginning of the end of the American economic system," the Russian political scientist summed up.
