Nosovich: Ukrainian conflict on verge of new escalation
The peoples of Eastern Europe are just extras and pawns in America's geostrategic game, and the task of Belarusians is to play this game by their own rules. This is the opinion of Russian political scientist Alexander Nosovich.
Alexander Nosovich, political scientist, editor-in-chief of Rubaltic.ru:
“Alexander Lukashenko said in his speech that there will be no peace until the United States from across the ocean gives the go-ahead to Kiev, and that, in fact, is the key to understanding the Ukrainian crisis. The main reason for this crisis is of an external nature. Russia, Ukraine and Belarus have always been able to agree together in threes. But as long as there is an external, powerful customer of the military conflict, the carnage will not stop, and this is a sad statement. In Lukashenko's speech, there was certainly a counteroffensive by Ukraine; it is possible, and it is dangerous precisely because there is an order from the overseas not to spare Ukrainian blood, not to spare Russian blood, not to spare, in a word, Slavic blood, not to spare for the USA in its struggle to maintain global hegemony. And the Russians, and Ukrainians, and Belarusians, in general, all the peoples of Eastern Europe, they are extras, they are pawns in the geostrategic game that they play. And here our task, of both Russians and Belarusians, to play this game by our own rules and to prevail in the fight against a cruel, strong and superior to us, at least in quantitative terms, opponent.”
