President sets task to help population to manage finances competently

The first meeting of the President with the leadership of the government this year was held today. Its leitmotif can be stated approximately as follows: the main thing is that innovations should be used to solve the existing problems. In particular, the government has prepared a draft decree to eliminate unscrupulous dealership and grey schemes and to improve the procurement system (this has been repeatedly pointed out by the head of state). As Alexander Lukashenko noted, it is important to ensure the smooth operation of enterprises while making savings that can be significant.

We can talk endlessly about the impact of electronic services, automated systems, social networks and online transfers on our lives. Today, digital technology is the circulatory system of society. That is why it is time to modernize the Ministry of Communications and Informatization.

Technology for a man, and not vice versa. The new agency will be called the Ministry of Digital Development and Communication. The task is ambitious - to improve not only everyday life, but also the well-being of the Belarusians by means of highly efficient production.

The Ministry of Communication does a lot of functions but it needs legal unification of processes to avoid red tape, especially in a digital department. The same applies to the procurement system. Alexander Lukashenko demands to completely exclude grey schemes and unscrupulous dealership.

In 2021, the state control identified more than eight dozen crimes related to gray schemes. Prices for medical equipment were inflated 40 times, which is unacceptable. The proposed approaches promise to save the budget up to a billion rubles in the first year.

Another draft decree is going to toughen the responsibility of HOA boards for the operation and maintenance of common property.

To put it simply, looting in residential buildings will no longer be allowed.

And the final decree of the day is about financial advice to individuals. This is about financial literacy. It is also a task for the government to help and teach. To do this, they will form a special institution of professional assistance to everyone who wants it.
