First prototype of Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 to appear in April

The first prototype of the Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 is expected in April. This was stated by Minister of Health Dmitry Pinevich, BelTA informs.

"As for the domestic vaccine, we expect to get the first prototype in April, which will go to preclinical and clinical trials, so that the vaccine could be registered by the end of this year," said Dmitry Pinevich.

The project of organizing production of a domestic vaccine against COVID-19 is implemented at the premises of BelVitunifarm. The domestic vaccine is being developed by organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Health and the National Academy of Sciences.
