2023 to become year of new breakthrough medicines Belarus

This year will be a breakthrough year for new medicines in Belarus. According to Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich, we put special hopes on working with our partners, in particular from Russia, to introduce new drugs.

A number of contracts have been signed with China, including for the supply of substances. This will also reduce the cost of medicines and make them more widely available. Our country is also working with Switzerland and some partners from European countries.

As for the domestic vaccine against COVID-19, in April the researches will finish the first prototype, which will go to preclinical and clinical trials, so that the vaccine will be registered by the end of the year.
