Ministry of Economy: Belarus is ready to consider new projects in satellite navigation

Belarus ready to consider possibility of new projects in the field of satellite navigation. This is reported by BelTA, citing the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

Today, Deputy Minister of Economy Alesya Abramenko held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese Satellite Navigation System, China Great Wall Industry Corporation and the Chinese-Belarusian High-Tech Aerospace Center of Research and Development.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the State Property Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and its subordinate agencies. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation of Belarus with the above-mentioned Chinese institutions. They agreed to consider the possibility of introducing innovative equipment and technologies of Beidou in Belarus, work on the possibility of signing a bilateral document, and establish the relevant working group.

"Belarus is ready to consider the possibility of implementing promising projects in the field of satellite navigation, introduction of innovative equipment and technologies, the use and application of the Beidou system in Belarus, joint research in the field of satellite navigation," said Alesya Abramenko.
