Poland stops letting trucks through checkpoint "Kozlovici": what it led to
July 10, Poland stopped accepting heavy trucks coming from Belarus through the checkpoint "Kozlovichi". There was a real transportation collapse at the checkpoint. Hot weather is also adding to the problems.
At the checkpoint "Kozlovichi," the queue of trucks trying to enter Poland stretches almost 10 kilometers. More than 500 trucks are waiting. July 10, at 3 a.m. Poland stopped accepting trucks. According to drivers, crossing the Belarusian-Polish border, the Poles have strengthened control. There was no official warning from the neighboring country.
Dmitry Demenchuk, head of the customs post "Kozlovichi:
"July 9, the Polish side reduced the reception, and in the period from 3 a.m. to 12 noon on July 10, did not accept any cargo transport in the direction of exit from the Republic of Belarus at the checkpoint "Kozlovichi." The Belarusian Customs timely formalizes vehicles traveling both to and from Belarus. However, timely crossing of the customs border depends on the rhythmic work of the two parties."

Under the scorching sun in the queue drivers literally have to survive. Poles did not even let gas tanks through. Employees of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry came to the rescue. Belarusian customs officers also helped the drivers of heavy trucks.
