Poland extends buffer zone on border with Belarus for 90 days
Poland has extended the buffer zone on the border with Belarus for 90 days, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Ministry of Interior and Administration of the country.
Thus, the temporary ban on staying in a certain area in the border zone adjacent to the state border with Belarus is extended for this period. At the same time, the area of the prohibited zone will not change, BelTA informs.
Poland introduced a buffer zone on the border with Belarus on June 13 for 90 days. Then it was reported that the zone will cover the length of the border at a stretch of 60.67 kilometers, located within the territorial radius of border guard posts in Narewka, Belovezh, Dubich-Tserkevna and Cheremkha. At the same time, in the section of about 44 km, the prohibited zone will be located 200 meters from the state border line. And the zone will be wider and will be about 2 kilometers long on the 16-km stretch, located in the zone of nature reserves.
