Supplies of weapons and military equipment for Belarusian army should be based on domestic manufacturers
When engaging in the state military order, Belarus should rely on the domestic manufacturer. This is the demand of Alexander Lukashenko.
State defenсe order - 2022
Today they are considering the key issues of the defenсe capability in the Palace of Independence: supplies of weapons and military hardware for the Belarusian army. They are regulated by the state defenсe order. Close attention to these issues is explained by the geopolitical situation. Today, perhaps more than ever, the country's defenсe and security must be ensured at the highest level. Moreover, according to the President, the defenсe capacity must be constantly improved. Only in this case, no external challenges will be able to surprise Belarus.
Technological capabilities and scientific potential allow Belarus to create virtually any samples of military hardware: from advanced electronics to missile engines. Our own developments are one of the foundations of the military doctrine of the country. It retains its defensive character. But given the current situation on the external circuit, Belarus has to be ready for all possible challenges. The President emphasized: our country is not going to attack anyone. But it is our duty to protect our land in case of a threat.
The development and equipment of the Belarusian army must match the level of potential threats. Only troops that have effective and modern weapons, fuel, and food are capable of solving the assigned tasks, the President is convinced. The events in Ukraine show it very well. The General Staff assures: the situation on the border between the south and the west is being carefully monitored. There are no secondary issues today.
Defenсe issues under President's control
The President always keeps defenсe issues under his control. Today, it is the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the situation on the western and southern borders of our country that make us keep our hand on the pulse of the situation. Belarus is not interested in escalating the situation, Alexander Lukashenko stresses. Our country just follows the logic: forewarned is forearmed.
