President takes part in festive events in Minsk and talks to journalists
The President is next to the Belarusians on May 9. This is an annual tradition for Alexander Lukashenko to personally take part in the solemn events on this day. The ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths was held in Victory Square this evening.
Immediately afterwards, the President spoke to journalists. Alexander Lukashenko shared his impressions of the parade on Red Square in Moscow. No sooner had the Belarusian leader returned from the Russian capital than the media began to report that the parade was no longer the same and the number of military equipment had set an anti-record in the history of modern Russia. Our President does not think so! In his opinion, everything was organized subtly and thoughtfully.
The President noted that this is not the first time he has answered a question about the Red Square parade. He was first asked this question by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, and later by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
"I will sincerely and absolutely honestly say that no one knows how to organize such events as they did," said Alexander Lukashenko. - It was a parade, not quite similar to those parades that used to be. But the time is also quite different. Did you notice how subtly they caught the moment and did what needed to be done today?" he said.
