Size of family capital in Belarus raised by Br1.5 thousand

The size of the family capital in Belarus has been determined in 2024. It has increased by 5.1%, reports BelTA with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

"Since January 1 this year, the size of the family capital is Br31,480. Compared to last year, it has increased by 5.1%, or by Br1,530," noted the press service of the Ministry of Labor.

As explained the department, in this amount of family capital is assigned to families at the birth (adoption) of the third or subsequent children in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.

Granting of the family capital is made in the amount in force on the date of birth of the third or subsequent children, and in the case of adoption, on the date of adoption of the third or subsequent children.

"Thus, in the birth (adoption) of the third or subsequent children in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2023, the family capital is assigned in the amount of 29 950 rubles", explained the Ministry of Labor.

In accordance with subparagraph 1.1. paragraph 1 of the Presidential decree of September 18, 2019 № 345 "On the family capital" the amount of the family capital is subject to annual indexation, taking into account the value of the consumer price index for the previous year in relation to the year preceding it.

The consumer price index in 2023 in relation to 2022 amounted to 105.1%.
