S. Lavrov: The opposition, which originates from Vilnius and Warsaw, does not want any dialogue
Foreign curators already understand the pointlessness of protests in Belarus, but they cannot stop. This is the view expressed by the Russian Foreign Minister.
Sergei Lavrov, like many authoritative observers, believes that the Belarusian opposition, which is now working from abroad (from Vilnius, from Warsaw) does not want any dialogue, and it has no constructive counter-program.
Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister: "As you know, some kind of coordination project has been created in Vilnius. In Warsaw, there is the National Anti-Crisis Management. They are accepted in European capitals, and are accepted in European parliamentary structures. I don't think that our Western colleagues don't understand what they do. And although they claim at every corner that this is not an attempt to change the power in Belarus, this is not an attempt to drive the wedge between Belarus and the Russian Federation. But all these words are not confirmed by practical actions. The Belarusian opposition is actively financed, actively incited to occupy this very uncompromising line. Demands for regime change, demands for permanent strikes, which, by the way, have failed, and much more of what is done from outside.
S. Lavrov: It is necessary to stop interfering in the internal affairs of Belarus.
Their support is not limited by money flows to finance these protests, including those organized with the participation of "young criminal elements" with attempts of forceful provocation. Not only money is going through the social networks, but also instructions are distributed on how to "make" "incendiary" mixtures, petrol bombs and much more. Therefore, our position is very simple: it is necessary to stop interfering in the internal affairs of Belarus, it is necessary to encourage all Belarusians, including the opposition, to participate in the process of political settlement through the process of constitutional reform".
