Savinykh about multipolar world: Belarus stands for cooperation with its own model of international relations
Andrei Savinykh, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on International Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, told about the information confrontation in the formation of a multipolar world.
Explaining why the visit of the President of Belarus to China irritated the detractors and why there were so many media provocations, Andrei Savinykh said that it was part of the information warfare.
A multipolar world is now being formed, setting the parameters and principles, based on which it will function, said the politician. "A new agenda is being formed around China, Russia, the BRICS countries and the SCO. A lot of countries strive to join these alliances and seek friendship with these partners to form the principles of the multipolar world. Belarus is doing the same.
The parliamentarian stressed that Belarus is pursuing this cooperation with its own model of international relations. "A model that is built on respect for the interests of the partner, on equal and mutually beneficial financial and economic interaction. This is a new model that fits perfectly into the idea of a multipolar world order," he stressed. - And it is dangerous for the unipolar world and for the countries that are losing their positions. It is clear that they are trying to discredit in some way, to divert attention, to cast doubt in any of the available ways. But since they do not have direct influence, they use information warfare techniques. Hence all these media provocations.
What is going on in the EU?
This is an interesting geopolitical question, noted the deputy. "Every country and every association has its historical cycles of development. If, let's say, for Russia it is somewhere around 100-120 years, the United States also has about 100 years, then Europe, it seems to me, develops according to long cycles of 700-600 years, the politician noted. - Today they are clearly entering a period of crisis, a period of restructuring, reformatting. I want to reassure: no one puts an end to history. So, it is better to see this process not as destruction, but as a reformatting."
According to him, one can see along which lines the reformatting of Europe is taking place. "Brussels, some of the Nordic countries are under the control of a cluster of multinational corporations. This is a supranational cluster of owners who feel fine in London, and in New York, and in Melbourne. And they do not care about the interests of national states, says the parliamentarian. - Brussels, to some extent, acts in line with non-national interests.
Andrei Savinykh noted that in contrast there is a number of continental elites, especially in the south of Germany, northern Italy and Austria, who understand the logic of this process and are trying to build protective mechanisms, trying to conserve resources and create opportunities for the reassembly of Europe.
"In my understanding, Hungary does not act alone. Hungary has become such a frontrunner, which speaks out loud about the interest of these very circles. I think that it is continental Europe among those regions and countries that I named, and it will be the point of reassembly of an already sovereign Europe, it will get out from under the political influence of the Anglo-Saxon world and will build its own new policy. How quickly this will happen, we shall see. But, no doubt, a renewed Europe will be friendly to Russia, and Belarus, and the whole Eurasia," said the politician.
Andrei Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
The dawn of Europe began, in my opinion, with the emergence of the Bretton Woods system and within the confrontation between the USSR and the United States, within the bipolar world. Then, the ideas of socialism became dangerous for the cluster of transnational corporations, for property owners and very attractive for the people. Then it was decided to create a sufficiently large middle class, to finance its prosperous life, in order to reduce the attractiveness of the ideas of socialism, and secondly, it was also required by the objectives of the industrial revolution, large-scale production.
Now this period is coming to an end, the parliamentarian believes. The reduction of human rights, the reduction of the standard of living of the middle class is now called by British and American professors "silent revolution of the elites." They proclaim this out loud and a lot of scientific works are published which say that the countries of the West are post-democratic countries. That there is no real democracy there, and if there are still elements, traditions, institutions of democracy, then they are shut down, deprived of funding and dissolved. This is a very dangerous process, which is now happening in almost all countries of the collective West. We must understand and see these processes," said Andrei Savinykh.
