Shchetkina: All programs within the framework of the Union State will be implemented this year
Belarus and Russia are gradually strengthening the level of integration. This is evidenced by the pace of implementation of joint programs. Last year up to 99% of the funds allocated for the development of joint projects were spent, said Marianna Schetkina, Head of the Representative Office of the Permanent Committee of the Union State in Minsk. Belarus and Russia are strengthening ties in the field of space, development of the infrastructure of the regional grouping of troops, medicine and agriculture, they are working together on the rehabilitation of territories affected by the Chernobyl accident.
In the conditions of the global confrontation, it is important for Belarusians to strengthen their positions inside the country. The first tangible step is the referendum and the adoption of the updated basic law. The Constitution is an image of a common future, which Belarusians have defined with their own hands, laying down new democratic institutions, the possibility to govern the country through the National Assembly, and the strengthening of social welfare.
