COVID-19 situation in Belarus: prudent optimism
The incidence rate is gradually decreasing! 1 890 people with Covid-19 were registered in Belarus during the day, 1 561 patients were discharged from hospitals.
Moderately grave and grave patients present the greatest burden on the healthcare system. Nevertheless, the epidemic vector is shifting. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Health today. The number of hospitalized patients has decreased from 2% up to 10% over the past 7-9 days. The drop in the red zones is noticed in the medical institutions that provide high-tech specialized care. Oncological dispensaries in Brest and Mogilev have begun scheduled work, Minsk will join them in the near future. All RSPCs continue to provide planned medical assistance.
The decline in the incidence rate is largely due to vaccination. According to the Ministry of Health, about 2 900 000 Belarusians received the first dose of an anti-Covid drug, more than 2 214 000 of them went through a full course of vaccination! In addition to outpatient clinics and hospitals, one can get the component in shopping centers and some subway stations. The procedure is free of charge. Only a passport is required.
