Belarus creates single register of empty houses
A unified register of empty houses has been created in Belarus. Access to the resource is open and free. Anyone can not only find and view the characteristics of a house, but also see its location, condition and age online. Local authorities are responsible for filling the registry. Now there is information on more than 1,200 houses. Further this list will be filled up.
Yulia Varukhina, head of the department of the State Committee on Property of Belarus:
“Previously, in order to find information about a residential building that was recognized as vacant and for which a decision was made to sell, it was necessary to find information separately on the website of each executive committee. And with the help of this resource all information detained in separate registers about empty houses will be accumulated in one place, i.e. it will greatly simplify the procedure of searching information about such dwelling houses.”
The local authorities will complete the work on filling the resource within a month.
