Iran to cancel visas for Belarusians
Iran unilaterally abolishes visa regime with 28 countries, including Belarus, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Japan, starting from February 4. Deputy Foreign Minister Alireza Bigdeli told IRNA news agency.
"The Foreign Ministry has notified the relevant bodies about the decree approved by the cabinet to cancel visas for 28 countries," the Iranian news agency quoted him as saying.
Based on this, "citizens of these 28 countries who travel to Iran for tourism purposes will not need a visa from February 4, 2024," the deputy minister added.
He separately noted the situation with India and emphasized that its citizens will not need a visa only in case of crossing the border by air.
