T. Jankowski about Poland's anti-Belarusian statements
Poland has not abandoned attempts to implement its imperial ambitions. A striking example is Warsaw's indignation over the celebration of the National Unity Day in our country. According to the Polish political analyst, Tomasz Jankowski, such anti-Belarusian statements has been fueled for many years by Poland's main donors - Germany and the United States, the aim being to counteract Russia and to draw Belarus into the Western system of alliances.
Poland right now is a place where there are some pro-German politicians and some pro-American politicians. We can't say that we are not an independent country now. Their main idea is that we must do everything against Russia, and that Belarus, Ukraine and Lithuania should be independent. But of course the independence meant that these were the countries which would listen to Poland and do as they wanted in Warsaw. Unfortunately, this idea is very famous even now, and I think that there are a lot of ideas among Polish politicians to act against Russia, to do everything so that Belarus and other Eastern countries, such as Ukraine, could be taken into the Western system of alliances: the European Union, NATO.
