Belarus carries out comprehensive work to strengthen national security

Belarus is carrying out a comprehensive work to strengthen national security. Only reliable people who are truly worthy of this high title should work in this field.

This is exactly what the presidential decree signed this week aims at. More than 80 former servicemen and prosecutors have been stripped of their military (special) ranks and class ranks. It affects people, who have committed a crime, an offense, or an act incompatible with their status. People who are now involved in armed conflicts in the territory of other states are also on the list.

Alexander Markevich, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus:

“People who have taken an oath, they must be faithful to it, being an active serviceman or being in the reserve, but remember that you gave an oath to the legally elected government, you gave an oath to the Belarusian people, and any actions aimed at undermining the state, at undermining the legally elected government will be punishable. This step is timely, it is necessary and, of course, it emphasizes that people in uniform are the backbone of the state, the backbone of the Belarusian people, so that we may preserve our independence and sovereignty.”

The economic structure of the country continues to be renewed by presidential decrees. The document signed on Monday gives more freedom to local authorities. Now the districts will decide for themselves what to do with the state property.
