Artificial intelligence becomes brand in Belarus: the achievements bank includes hundreds of developments

From robots for agriculture to developments in the field of e-health. In Belarus, artificial intelligence has already become a brand. This was discussed at a thematic press conference.

The achievements bank of Belarusians includes hundreds of developments in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. Thus, our scientists have developed a voice assistant in the Belarusian language, which helps the population navigate the Internet. There are applications for tourism and medicine, our own 3D printer of industrial design, on which it is possible to print large-sized products. Among the developments is a system for computer modeling of potential drugs, as well as a neural network software package for supporting decision-making in the diagnosis of lung diseases based on X-ray and tomographic images.

Sergei Kruglikov, Director General of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus:

“Artificial intelligence has become a brand. Before that, smart cities and unmanned complexes were brands. Today, no company will say that it is not implementing artificial intelligence. The most successful is medical activity. A second opinion on the processing of various analyzes, images, and a number of systems is very important for a doctor. But everything must be regulated at the legislative level; for this, a number of regulatory documents are being developed that will help implement the artificial intelligence system in everyday activities, in the lives of our citizens.”

Eduard Snezhko, head of the laboratory of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus:

“We want to implement our components for a large information system so that a person at his workplace, without changing the algorithm of its work, without pressing additional buttons, receives all the information about the patient, including images and test results.”

III Forum of IT-Akademgrad "Artificial Intelligence in Belarus" will be held in Minsk on October 10-11

The upcoming III Forum of IT-Akademgrad "Artificial Intelligence in Belarus" was also announced today. It will be held in Minsk on October 10-11. More than one hundred and fifty developments in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics will be presented at the National Academy of Sciences. The large-scale platform will bring together scientists, teachers, design engineers and programmers from all over the country, as well as specialists from Russia, China and Serbia.
