Number of people infected with COVID-19 grows in Belarus
In this connection, doctors once again urge citizens to be conscientious and use simple preventive measures. The elderly, as well as people with chronic diseases, remain at risk.
The readiness of Minsk to resist the virus was discussed today in the Council of the Republic. There was a meeting of the regional headquarters for responding to the situation with the virus. Doctors and infectious disease specialists joined the conversation. Thre is a sufficient bed capacity in the city, outpatient clinics are also ready. Personal protective equipment and medicines remain in sufficient quantities. There are treatment protocols.
Yuri Gorbich, head of the department of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education:
"At the moment, we are witnessing an increase in the incidence of diseases in Minsk, we are witnessing an increase in the incidence of diseases in the Republic of Belarus. They are fundamental.
