Re-burial ceremony for 852 prisoners of Stalag 352 took place in Masiukovschina Memorial
A solemn and mournful ceremony of reburial took place in Minsk. The graves of the innocent soldiers killed during the Great Patriotic War were given names. 852 Red Army soldiers were found in the former Nazi concentration camp for prisoners of war Stalag 352. They were taken prisoners at the beginning of the war, the date was established by medallions. Yet, it was possible to find out information only about 11 victims. Among them there was Vasily Nikolaevich Lobanov, a native of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren flew to Minsk for the memorial service.

“I can't even tell you these feelings when we were told that our grandfather was really found. We were looking for him so long. His daughter is still alive, she is 91 years old.. I, of course, brought the soil of from our land to the grave. The ceremony was accompanied by the guard of honor company and the brass band. The remains of the soldiers were consigned to the ground with military honors with a triple salvo at the burial. The names are inscribed in the Book of Memory of the Masiukovshchina Memorial.
