Baranets: West uses migration crisis as pretext for building up military presence near Belarus borders
The collective West, and Poland in particular, are using the migration crisis as a pretext for building up a military presence on the western borders of the Union State. NATO countries, using the refugee situation as a pretext for pulling military forces together, are creating a new center of tension to put pressure on Belarus and Russia. This is the opinion of Russian expert and military observer Victor Baranets.
Victor Baranets, military observer of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" newspaper, retired colonel (Russia):
“The crisis on the Belarus-Poland border was just an excuse. It had a strategic goal to stir up Belarus, Poland, and the entire Europe. They believe that there are many spies among the migrants, both Belarusian and Russian, and therefore it is necessary to bring tanks and artillery and pour poisoned water on people. They are no longer talking about the Russian threat, but about the Russian-Belarusian threat. The migrants have no weapons in their hands. Why are Polish tanks, British Marines, American missiles trying to get more bombs here again? You see, the West is speculating, playing its chameleonic, fraudulent games, inflaming the politico-military situation.”
