Absolute record: trade turnover with Russia to reach 45 billion euros
The indicators of trade turnover with the CIS states have seriously increased. These figures are important in assessing the mitigation of damage from economic sanctions.
Alexander Shpakovsky, political analyst:
"Russia and the Republic of Belarus expect a trade turnover of about 45 billion euros this year. It will be an absolute record since 2012. For comparison, I can say that in 2015-1016, the trade turnover with Russia was 24-25 billion euros, in 2020 it was 29 billion euros, in 2021 about 40 billion euros. "
"Of course, this does not fully compensate for the damage from Western sanctions. At the same time, participation in different integration formats, including the CIS, is an important support for us," he added.
