Lukashenko and Putin agree on training Belarusian army aircraft crews with specific munitions

Belarus and Russia have agreed to train crews of combat aircraft of the Belarusian army, which have already been re-equipped for the possible use of airborne munitions with special warheads. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the press after talks with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA informs.

According to the Russian President, during the talks the two leaders discussed issues of common defense space and security, including cooperation within the CSTO, where Belarus will preside from 2023.

Vladimir Putin noted that the Union State has joint military planning and a regional grouping of troops. The combat formations and military units of the two countries are being trained in Belarus. A single air defense system is created and is on alert. According to the President, the parties agreed to continue to take jointly all the necessary measures to ensure reliable security, to prioritize the training of troops, increasing their combat readiness, to continue the practice of regular joint exercises and mutual supply of weapons.

The Russian President said that an agreement had also been reached to continue implementing Belarus's proposals on the training of Belarusian army combat aircraft crews, which have already been re-equipped for the possible use of airborne munitions with special warheads. According to him, such form of cooperation is not an invention of Belarus and Russia. There are such practices in other countries and blocs.

Alexander Lukashenko confirmed the corresponding agreements. According to him, the training of aircraft crews is currently underway.
