Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the importance of import substitution joint projects for both countries - Belarus and Russia. He stated this to journalists after talks with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA informs.
The Russian leader emphasized that the enterprises of the two countries maintain close cooperative relations.
"Russia has additionally allocated 105 billion rubles to our Belarusian partners in order to finance the promising import-substitution joint projects in mechanical engineering, machine tools and electronics. I would like to point out that these are mutually beneficial projects; they are needed not only for Belarus and not only to get this funding, Russia needs them to fill our market, especially after some foreign companies leave our market," said the head of state."
